Hello All,
We are winding up for the year 3 shows left, Sept 6 VA-01 Fundraiser, Sept 13 Goshen, and 1 left the set up will
let you know when and where ASAP. I would like to thank all the members that have turned there sponsor money.
Some of this money is going to added money for the show and the rest will go to awards. Also if you are planning
on giving this to me at the show and you have a business card from a sponsor I need to get a card to put in a
show program... I have gotten a few but most people are sponsoring themselves. A card can be faxed to me at
434-929-2527.We are gaining more members every month 6 new members in August alone. Welcome to all new members.
Our Fundraiser show has $1000 added so it should be a good show. I am still looking for volunteers for the show
barrel setters I can get at the show but I need to know who is willing to get at to the show early to work the gate
I have 1 person to do this so far but there is allot of members in this district and I don't expect one person to
do it all day. Also my mom and dad are coming to help with the concession stand but I still need some people to give
them a brake when needed. I have also had 1 volunteer for this So if you can help out let me know ASAP.
I am looking into some award for this year but most will depend on the amount of money raise at the fund raiser.
We will be doing a raffle that should bring in a lot of money for the district. First place will be either a
9 year old paint mare (Smashed Fox) Some of you may remember her I was running her last year until I bought MoJo.
Or $2000 Second place of $500 and I may do a third + place for misc. donated items. The tickets will be $30 each
or 2 for $50. I am hoping to have the tickets done by this weekend. We will do the drawing when all the tickets
are sold I will be only doing 250 tickets that will bring close to 4000 to the district for awards.
