NBHA VA-05 SEPTEMBER 2011 NEWSLETTER
WELCOME New Members: Linsey Breen, Morgan Wright, and Dana & Shelby Murrell.
We only had one (1) VA-05 member who went to Youth World – Morgan Kingston. It was Morgan’s first time going to Youth World and although he didn’t make it back to the finals, we are all real proud of him.
We had 16 VA-05 members that registered for the Colonial Nationals – Vanessa Evans, Patricia Brown and Brenda Dodd in Seniors; Patricia Lawson, Amy Burgess, Morgan Kingston, Reed Dale, Morgan Wright, Marcie Clifton, Vanessa Evans, Gale Stonnell, Amanda Lawson, Leslie Sutler, Jo Lynn Farmer, Patricia Brown and Christine Slayman in Open; and Reed Dale, Amanda Lawson, Morgan Wright, Morgan Kingston, Casey Lawhead, and Shelby Windsor in Youth. Morgan Kingston placed 3rd in 3-D onboard “Texas Pete”; and Reed Dale placed 4th in 1-D onboard “Dyna Rae Honor”, placed 10th in 1-D onboard “Almendrados Miss”, and placed 9th in 2-D onboard “March of Honor”. Gale Stonnell onboard “One Easy Connection”, Jo Lynn Farmer onboard “Carolina Playboy”, and Reed Dale onboard “Almendrados Miss” made it back to the Open Finals with Reed placing 3rd in 1-D. Congratulations to all. The attached points have been tallied through September 10th. From Your Director: The sale of the raffle tickets was a success. 1st place of $300.00 went to Kevin Kingston; 2nd place of $200.00 went to Alexcia Wells; and 3rd place of $100.00 went to Bud Whitaker. If anyone has any other ideas for fundraisers, please e-mail me at brendajdodd@gmail.com and we can chat about it.

Remember to save your Southern States labels during the season. They can be redeemed for cash to help with our year end awards. If you know anyone who uses Southern States feed, ask them to save their labels for you.
Unfortunately the ADM Alliance/Forage First Program is cancelled.
