NBHA VA-05 Holiday 2008 Newsletter

Congratulations to all VA-05 NBHA World participants:  Amy Bruce, Reed Dale, Wendy Dean, Vanessa Evans, Rob French and Sarah Jane French.  All six (6) members participated in the Sweepstakes and Open.  Amy, Vanessa and Rob ran in the 21 & Over race.  Vanessa was our only Senior (that’s because she is really old) and Reed, Wendy, Vanessa, Rob and Sarah Jane ended the week running the Jackpot.  None of the VA-05 members were fortunate to make it back to the Finals; however, Wendy and Vanessa managed to cash a check in the Jackpot.  Vanessa dressed Tulsa in a spider costume for the Trick or Trot and placed 3rd.   You can see all the results on www.NBHA.com.

Lewis & Barbara Parsley came from New Kent to provide moral support and to bring back a trailer if anybody won it.  I guess NBHA is feeling the economic crunch also because instead of gooseneck trailers they had bumper pulls this year.  Regardless it still would have been great for a VA-05 member to bring one home, but alas, not this year for VA-05.

Listed below are the remaining NBHA approved shows for the rest of the season:

Remember to save your Southern States labels over the winter.  They can be redeemed for cash to help with our year end awards.  If you know anyone who uses Southern States feed, ask them to save their labels for you.

That’s all for now!  I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous & Happy New Year.  See you next year at the shows.

P.S.  Congratulations to Gary & Patricia Brown on the birth of their Granddaughter.
